Things have been Great (knock on wood)!

I don’t want to jinx it but I’m going to say it anyway – Michael has been GREAT! We were in FL this past week for a conference and Michael traveled so well. He was calm and alert all week. He enjoyed the beach and his time with his Grandmommy.

I must praise my company for a moment. The conference was great – we realized that Fitness Together is a family; not just a business. At the award banquet, Mike, Michael and I were recognized and many franchisees have stepped up and made some very generous donations to our family. That says something about a business.

Mike and are re-energized and pumped up about our Fitness Together again. We listened to two different motivational speakers and it really helped us to realize that we need to focus on our blessings, not our hardships. We are trying very hard to stay positive and enjoy our lives.

I’m glad to say there’s not much to report about Michael! His stridor has calmed down since being on the Previcid. His dystonia and spasticity have lessened. He seems more alert – opening his eyes wider, moving his arms a little bit. I just really hope it stays this way for a long time. Everyone talks about the calm after the storm. Well, we’ve been living in a huge storm for the last 6 months so hopefully this is the calm everyone has been talking about.

We are attending a golf tournament fundraiser for Michael on Tuesday. It will be so nice to see everyone who is supporting us. I love thanking people in person when I can.

We go back to Pittsburgh in early December – we’ll only be gone a day but as usual, we are looking forward to seeing the team up there. They too, feel like family.
